In '91 Bowman continued along with their role as the set that focused primarily on prospects. Which of course in no way explains the card of Tony Bernazard. My guess is that Joe McDonald and Bo Schembechler thought they had scored another Cecil Fielder. One of us was wrong. Thanks to retrosheet, I see that in 1991 he went 2-12 for the Tigers in six games and was released on May 7th, never to play in a big league game again. You learn something new everyday.
